A Quiet Moment

I sure appreciate the quiet moments that I have in my life. When you work all day in a busy office with phones ringing, copy machines copying, fax machines beeping, quiet time is hard to come by. Besides this we have 2 way radios for recess and other times we need to contact custodians or other personel within the building so we don't have to use the loud speaker to find someone. We are the ice pack and bandaid (with a little sympathy thrown in) central and most every day have a bloody nose or two also. It is a busy place to work and you have to be able to tune alot of it out just to get your work done.
But when I come in the kitchen door, quiet greets me! (Unless Randy is home, who hasn't talked to anyone all day) Even so, our home seems like a sanctuary. A safe place. A comfortable place to be. It is our home and there is no place like home. Really!
Jeremy and Molly, Rich and Debbie, Sarah and Riley, all have nice homes. They feel like home when we visit. I know they work hard at making their houses a "home" for their children. You all have so much more than your dad and I had when we were young parents. I am very proud of you and the good parents that you are. I am aware that you don't have a lot of quiet in your lives either. I hope you appeciate this time. It goes along quickly.
Now I have quiet, but miss the pitter patter of little feet. Christmas was fun! (I still have'nt taken down the tree) Maybe we will put valentines on it! Ha ! I love you all and am thankful for your love!
