Flat Belly Diet
I have been on this "Flat Belly Diet" now for a couple of weeks and have lost 8lbs so far. It hasn't been hard at all untill today and for some reason the toast at school this morning smelled so good, but I didn't have any. I ate my oatmeal & almonds. Then at lunch the hamburgers, fries really looked great but I was having a healthy chef salad...plus for the last 2 days I have been passing out chocolate orders (Worlds Finest ) from a fundraiser our school had. It has been a rough couple of days. I havn't been too bad although I did have 2 mint meltaways....and they were delicious! I am not going to get discouraged. I need to get rid of my extra weight. I guess that is why I am writing this little note. I am going public with my weight loss program as a tool to stay on track! This really is an interesting diet and I feel good so far. It is a diet that targets the belly area and was mainly designed for older ladies but I think it would work for most anyone. Anyway, I will keep you posted on my progress.

I love the new look of your blog!!!
Good job with being so dedicated to losing weight and sticking with your diet. You are far ahead of me. Perhaps I'll have to try what you are doing. Maybe you could post some ideas of what to eat. You are looking great and you're inspiring me to do better. I wish I didn't like food so much!!! Out of sight out of mind right?
Ah, yes. Now that my 6 weeks post-baby no-activity (Doctors orders!) are up I've been hitting the track and 3-mile loop w/ some friends. What a rude awakening that was! But I feel better for getting started. I'm giving myself another 2 weeks before I seriously tackle the diet side of this saga...
I've been watching a lot of You Are What You Eat on the BBC and Dr. Oz on the Discovery Health Channel and I'm finding one common theme - eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. So I've been doing just that for the last couple of weeks (trying to eat at least 5-7 servings/day) w/o even attempting to change anything else and I have to say I already feel so much better! Now if I could just get rid of that chocolate craving...
I've heard it takes 30 days to make or break a new/old habit, so way to go Mel! 8 days is great! I've found a treat to replace my love of milkshakes, Skinny cow's version of chocolate popsicles. Jeremy wanted to leave you a word of encouragement, but had to show his face at work today. We are leaving for Roseburg today and then on to Reno tomorrow. I'm kind of excited because I like to see new places, not because I've heard good things about Reno.. at least we'll get to see my sister and we might have news re: Foo Fighters concert when we get back.
Congrats on losing 8 lbs. I've lost about the same. The Flat Belly Diet really works!
